Rage Room
Rage Room
This painting was originally made using Oil Paint, Acrylic Paint, and Crayon Wax on a 16x24 canvas
I called this piece Rage Room because I was really frustrated when I created it. I was working on a different painting and for some reason I just couldn’t get it right. In my frustration, I smeared white and black paint over the painting. I continued to let my rage out and when let my creative expression take over. The birth of Rage Room quite literally came from rage. Once I had gotten out the frustration, I had an artist thought of “what if I melt down some crayons” so I did. I melted down some crayons with a spoon and a lighter, in the most unsafe way because of a “why not?” thought and created something beautiful.
